OK OK so at the risk of sounding cliché…Hawaii, truly is paradise. We stayed on Oahu island, a constant 85 degrees and sunny all week - no humidity. Hit up all the must see, must eat local hot spots - thank you Yelp! Rented a trusty Jeep and took the drive up to Haleiwa aka The North Shore…indulged in some local grind — Macky’s Shrimp Truck, Aoki’s Shaved Ice, Ted’s Bakery pies, while watching the surf at Bonzai Pipeline in Sunset Beach. Loco Mocos for breakfast…Curry Udon for lunch/dinner…Spam Musubis in between…and shopped and partied on the Waikiki Strip. Congrats to mi primo Chip and wifey Lara getting hitched at Kualoa Ranch aka Jurrasic Park, LOST, movie setting - absolutely breathtaking scenery.
Still experiencing Aloha withdrawals no doubt, but as always, good things come to an end until our next voyage.
But in the meantime, Going back to Honolulu just to get that…
